Constant rush, life with a clock in hand and a mass of responsibilities. We are often overstimulated and stressed, plus we lack time for a weekend getaway. Fortunately A wellness and spa area can be set up in your own home and tailor it to individual needs.
What is a wellness zone?
Massages, sauna, or maybe fitness classes? Wellness is not a specific activity or treatment. It is a state of balance of body and mind, a relaxing harmony that allows us to stop and reduce the negative effects of stress. Wellness for everyone will therefore mean something different. It can be both a sauna and a space for meditation. And this means great possibilities and full individualism.
Spa in a luxury home
Wellness is most often equated with a spa, and there's a lot of truth in that! Apparently, the term spa comes from the Latin phrase sanus per aquam, meaning healing through water. Others trace the etymology of the term to the name of a Belgian spa - Spa. Regardless of its origin, a spa is a soothing experience for the body and mind. There is a whole range of solutions to choose from. The most commonly used is hot tub or jacuzzi. For lovers of Scandinavian climates, a good choice will be home sauna, both the steam one and the infrared one. If the plot area is not a limitation, you can also bet on a private pool. Of course, it involves considerable expenses, reaching up to 100 thousand zlotys, and a considerable cost of maintenance per season.
Well-being in your own home
Wellness in one's own home does not have to be limited to a bath room. Yoga practitioners will appreciate a space that allows them to calm down and listen to their own bodies. For complete relaxation, contact with nature is also very important, which is why in hotel wellness zones we have a view of green areas from the windows. Mini gymnasiums are also common in luxury homes. This is a very good solution, because first of all, it creates space to hold equipment, and secondly, going to the gym without distractions is a more satisfying workout.
Is a wellness area in an apartment possible?
It would seem that your own wellness area requires a huge space. Of course, with limited space, it will be quite a challenge to place both a bathtub and a shower cubicle with sauna function in the bathroom. Luxury apartment buildings have thought of residents' needs and a common solution is a wellness area in the common area. Pools and saunas are the most common. A gymnasium, a space for practicing yoga, or a squash court also appear as a solution.
If we have the opportunity, it is worth taking care not only of comfortable bedrooms or a spacious kitchen. Our own wellness area can positively affect our well-being and give us energy to overcome daily challenges.
